About Me
My Name is Samantha Fowler,
I'm a designer based in Houston.
Every design I create is rooted in a love for visual detail. My love began as a child, who was enamored with visual mediums. It began as drawing, but as my creativity expanded so did my capabilities. I would seek out new ways to create, such as creating packaging for fake products, teaching myself animation, laying out and binding my own books by hand. Eventually, this led me to receiving my bachelors degree in graphic design from the University of Houston.
Now, I have grown that passion into a career shaping brands and bringing ideas to life through art direction, visual identity, and motion design. In every project I aim to find innovative ways to portray it’s message, because effective design creates clear communication.
My Journey So Far
1. Graphic Designer - Fiserv
2020-2022
Started as a contract woker for Fiserv, where I produced precise, brand-compliant print and digital materials for major financial clients.
2. Graphic Designer - JanMar Agency
2022-2022
Moved on to becoming a freelancer for JanMar Agency, where I eveloped branding and marketing collateral for diverse client portfolios.
3. Art Director - Defunkt Magazine
2020-2022
Joined the non-profit magazine where I oversaw visual direction and design for quarterly publications, leading a multidisciplinary team to produce cohesive editorial storytelling across print and digital platforms.
4. Graphic Designer and Multimedia Specialist - Oak Creek Homes
2022-Present
Became the sole graphic designer on the Oak Creek Homes marketing team where I conceptualized and executed cohesive brand campaigns and sales materials.
